We are located in Wenatchee, Washington (Zip Code: 98801), but we work with U.S. taxpayers all over the global.
Location is not a factor to work with Boundless Advisors.
We utilize a secure state-of-the-art user portal to share information including tax documents.
Our portal includes an instant messaging system similar to Facebook messenger or texting in addition to forms and email.
Our portal also has an app for your Android or Apple-based smartphone or tablet.
We strive to have your tax return ready for your review within 7 business days of receiving all documents. However, during times of extreme volume, it may be up to 30 days as outlined in our engagement letter.
Note: we have never had a client wait 30 days for their video review of their return.
Our portal is designed to take the stress and guesswork out of tax time. We take the information exchange one step at a time and walk you through every step.
However, at a minimum we need:
- Full Name
- Mailing Address
- SSN
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- DOB
- Photo of Valid ID (Front and Back)
- Income documents
If your business is set-up as a sole proprietor or a single member LLC then, it is generally reported using Schedule C and Schedule SE as part of your invidual (1040) tax return.
We can help with that! Matter of fact, we specialize in small to medium sized, closely held businesses.
Our tax preparation offers year-round (limited) access to your tax professional. With every annual return we include 12-months of IRS Master File Monitoring, IRS/State Notice review, a video review of the prepared return, and limited tax planning or 6-month checkin.
As tax professionals registered as an ERO (Eletronic Return Originator) with the IRS we can electronically file the current year, plus the two previous.
This means for Calendar year 2024 we can electronically file 2023, 2022, and 2021.
Our representation cases have 3 stages
- Free 15-minute telephone/Zoom-type consult
- Discovery Phase
- Representation
Note: 50% of the discovery fee is credited towards the total representation fee. No one else is doing that!
Discovery is the 2nd step in our three-step process. We request the last 10 years of history from the IRS/State and determine the root cause of your IRS/State issues.
Unlike other providers, our Discovery phase is completed by credentialed tax professionals (EA, CPA, or Tax Attorney) and not by sales closers.
At the end of the Discovery phase, you will receive written recommendations for the next steps, the cost of representation phase, and copies of IRS/State transcripts.
The fees for representation vary widely based on the complexities of the case.
Our representation plans start at $1,000 and our average fee is $3,000 – $7,000 which usually includes several years of tax preparation and filing.
All costs will be fully disclosed upfront and in writing.
We even offer payment plans for our fees.
Yes, you can complete tax returns and tax debt resolution yourself. The IRS is accessible to all taxpayers.
However, our team lives and breathes taxes and has for over 20 years.
We spend thousands of dollars a year and take hundreds of continuing education hours to ensure we are always 100% up-to-date on the current tax laws. We collaborate with other professionals to develop best practices and know both when and how to push back at the IRS to ensure your Taxpayer Rights are protected.
You can also represent yourself in court (but, most people hire an attorney), you can change your own oil, etc – but most people don’t.
The term “Fresh Start” is more of a marketing term than an actual IRS program.
In Fiscal years 2011 and 2012 the IRS introduced major policy shifts in how it collected tax debt.
This was collectively referred to as the Fresh Start Program. Marketeers now use that liberally.
Here is some additional information directly from Taxpayer Advocate system on What is the Fresh Start Program.
